Apple releases first Chinese iPhone TV ad [video]

Apple has released its first Chinese add for the iPhone.

China Unicom sold approximatly 5,000 iPhones in the first few days of its release. The price of an iPhone in China is 25% higher than a conventional smart phone sold in the country. Let me remind you that the iPhone’s sols in China don’t have WiFi capabilities.

Apparently resellers in China received many anonymous threatening letter from China Mobile not to sell the iPhone…

sina.com said:

“Many cell phone distributors received formal notification that ‘Selling iPhones is not recommended,’ or ‘Selling iPhones is not allowed or China Mobile will fine you or stop cooperation with you.’ “
