New concept for iPhone lock screen is coming soon

iphone_homescreen_teehan_laxTeehan and lax had an amazing concept for the iPhone lock screen that is rapidly becoming reality.

They were talking about this project back in September but what’s the big fuss about this lock screen?

Lady’s and gentlemen, take a look at the screenshot below, “a picture is worth a thousand words” they say.

Essentially the concept is materialized like a widget lock screen, based on Jay Freeman’s a.k.a Saurik’s new framework extension called Cydget. Let’s not forget that you need a jailbroken iPhone in order to install this through Cydia.

We got in touch with Jay Freeman a.k.a saurik. He’s the guy behind Cydia, an application for jailbroken iPhones that allows you to browse and download apps outside of actual app store. He’s crazy smart, passionate and geeky — three things we love here at T+L. Jay is going to be instrumental in making this happen.

We don’t know when this will be available on Cydia so stay tuned for upcoming updates.

    Yeah,

now my awsome iphone can have a ‘welcome’ screen that looks like my 2002 HP Ipaq running windows CE.

Get a clue guys, there is a reason why the world moved away from this uglyness.

  • Great post here, I really got a lot out of it. I read a review of the HP Mini 210 online. Very educational reading as well. Click here if you’d like to check out my site.
