Today I will be reviewing one of the coolest photography applications to have on the iPhone. I’m talking about Pano, an application available on the Apple Store to take panoramic pictures.
Panoramic photography also called wide format photography, is an image showing a field of view approximating, or greater than, that of the human eye – about 160° by 75°.
In the late 19th century, panoramic cameras using curved film holders employed clockwork drives to scan a line image in an arc to create an image over almost 180 º. Digital photography of the late 20th century greatly simplified this assembly process, which is now known as image stitching.
With Pano, you can take beautiful panoramic pictures using your iPhone. If you like to take pictures with your iPhone, this is a must have. Let’s over the feature Pano offers.

I bought this app and was amazed at the results. You can choose landscape or portrait mode to capture pictures.It’s very well designed for casual use, very intuitive. Snap a picture and choose to keep or retake. Then with the help of the transparent guide, you just line up to take next picture for a perfect pano image. Once you snap the pictures to a maximum of sixteen, pano will stick them together and save it in your camera roll. I found the application a little slow to respond though and you can’t adjust the picture from the application itself. Maybe they will add this feature in future updates.
Overall, it’s a very cool application to have on your iPhone, I rate it 4 on 5 well done!
